Selected Writings of E. A. Speiser, in 640 searchable and bookmarked pdf pages. Ephraim Avigdor Speiser, the renowned Assyriologist, archaeologist, and Biblical commentator, published these 38 articles in a variety of journals between the years 1924 and 1963. While studying the ancient Mitanni and Hurrians in northern Mesopotamia, he discovered and subsequently excavated the site called Tepe Gawra ("Great Mound"), which was occupied between 5000 and 1500 B.C.
